What is The Branch Life Challenge™?
The Branch Life Challenge™ is a 27-day challenge of discovery to transform your life to overflowing joy, peace and purpose. You will learn God's purpose for your life and his perfect will for how he created us to live and position yourself to live abundantly. (It's so exciting!)
It's based on the words of Jesus as he says: "I am the vine. You are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without me you can do nothing." (John 15:5 NKJV)
I have read the verses in John 15 many times, but during my cancer treatments and recovery, this came alive to me in a way it never had before--and I began to seek God's word for how we are to live like branches--with Jesus as our vine. That is exactly what we will explore and practice during the challenge. (This is where the idea for the Branch Life™ lifestyle came about.) I am so excited to share this life-changing way of living–straight from the scriptures–with you!
The Challenge is also an invitation: for us to abide and make God our home. We will discover the instructions Jesus gave us as God’s blueprint for abundant life for us on the earth. During the 27 days we will see and apply the ways he gives and equips us with all we need every day.

We understand this is unique.
How much time do I need to plan to devote to this?
A few minutes a day. It's totally up to you and your schedule. The Branch Life Challenge is set up as a challenge so we can form habits of learning God's word and abiding in him--every day--in the midst of busy lives and schedules. The videos are 10-20 minutes long and the transcripts, summaries and planner pages reinforce the video message in easy-to-navigate chunks so you can customize the challenge in the way that works best for you.
Can I do this with my family? Or my Bible study group?
Yes! This is all about living the abundant life Jesus says he died for us to have so we do not want to leave anyone out. Doing this with your family, roommates, co-workers or Bible study group is a wonderful way to reinforce the important community aspect of The Challenge. Household discounts are available (see pricing below) and we would be happy to customize a solution for your larger family or group so that each person has their own login and can track their individual progress.
I'm not great with technology so how hard will this be to do if it's online?
It'll be easy! Once you join, you will receive a welcome email with your login information for The Orchard community online. The Branch Life Challenge happens within this community and all you need to complete the challenge is in one place. (There is also an app so you can easily access it on your phone.) The Truth Talk summaries, Branch Life Planner Pages and transcripts are also printable for ease of use offline. We want this to bless you so are happy to help however we can if you have technical issues.
Will I still get my Bonus "Live Like a Branch" book if I don't finish the challenge?
Of course! Once the book is available for download we will send a link to all The Branch Life Challenge participants to get their free digital copy. We want this to bless you and enrich your life in every way possible so completing the challenge is not a judgment zone situation. There is no grade for this--only encouragement and love. (And if you continue your membership in The Orchard online community, where the challenge takes place, you can go back through the challenge videos and teaching as often as you want to, at your own pace.)
I'm in ministry and have studied and taught the word of God for years. Will there be something in this for me?
I have taught for more years of my life than I haven't, and this simple revelation has changed my perspective of God, his love for us, myself and the world we live in. I'm so excited to share this with everyone and my prayer is that ministers, like you, will be refreshed and energized, and that through you these life-changing truths from the mouth of Jesus will illuminate many minds and hearts to know God more fully--including yours.
What if I only want to participate in The Branch Life Challenge and not be part of the community after the challenge ends?
No worries! Of course, we want you to continue to be part of our encouraging, praying community and receive the life-changing message of joy, peace, purpose and abundance that Jesus explains, but there are no contracts and you can cancel your community membership any time.
My teenagers and younger child will be with me most of the time when I'm watching and listening to the videos. Will this be appropriate for them?
Absolutely! Not only will this be appropriate for them but it will bless them by teaching them Bible truths important to understand and apply no matter our age or background. (Youth groups are actually encouraged to do this with us so let yours know. I wish I knew when I was a teenager what I've learned through this.)
I don't know much about God, the Bible or Jesus. Should I wait and join after I learn some things?
Not at all! This is actually a great introduction for you to understand what God says he wants for your life through the words of Jesus. Because our focus is on the words of Jesus, as shared in the Bible, this will help you learn and apply the Bible to your life right now.
What church or denomination is The Branch Life Challenge affiliated with?
The Branch Life Challenge is focused on learning from the words of Jesus in the Holy Bible. It is not affiliated with any particular church or religious denomination. I am a layperson, which means I am not ordained, and am teaching from years of Bible study and training and much time spent with the Lord in prayer.
What happens when The Challenge ends?
We will celebrate this milestone once the 27 days of The Branch Life Challenge end! I'm eager to hear everyone's feedback of what they learned and how the Lord blesses each of you during this set apart, focused time. The Orchard community membership is ongoing so you can cancel your membership at any time or continue to grow and thrive with the community as we continue to learn to live like a branch, with Jesus as our True Vine.
